Summary:     The series contains Roll 39 of the Ainsworth List, pertaining specifically to the Indian Wars in Alabama, Arkansas, the District of Columbia and Florida.  The Ainsworth List is a compilation (112 microfilm reels in all) of company muster rolls of military organizations who served during various conflicts from the Revolutionary War to the Philippine Insurrection.  Roll 39 contains those records relevant to the Creek War, the 1st Seminole War, the 2nd Seminole War, and the 3rd Seminole War for the states of Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, and the District of Columbia.
    An index at the beginning of the roll lists the military organizations involved in each event.  Following the index are individual cards for each military organization which lists the dates and locations that the organization was mustered in to service and mustered out of service, the length of service, the number of men in the organization, and other related notes.
