Summary:     This microfilm publication contains registers of names of enlisted men in the Regular Army.  The information was compiled from enlistment papers, muster rolls of the Regular Army, and other records.  Except for pension records, these registers may be the only source of information on enlisted personnel serving in the Regular Army during the 19th century.
    Entries for each man may include:  name; when, where, and by whom he was enlisted; period of enlistment; civilian occupation; physical description including height, eyes, hair, complexion; unit of regiment to which he was assigned; and addition remarks.
