The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1968, the House Committee on Appropriations became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. The Committee develops the annual appropriations bill for the financing of the state government. It also reviews legislation pertaining to appropriations, budgets, and government spending issues.
Summary:     This series contains recordings of Committee on Appropriations (1968-1997, 2002-2023) and the Fiscal Responsibility Council (1997) meetings. Some House and Senate Conference Committee meetings are included within this series. The recordings document committee and subcommittee meetings and contain discussion on legislation pertaining to appropriations, budgets, and government spending issues.
