Biographical/Historical:     In 1992, the Committee on Aging and Humans Services (1993-1996) became a standing committee with permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. The Committee assumed some of the functions of the House Committee on Health and Rehabilitative Services. The Committee reviewed legislation on aging; substance abuse; mental health and retardation; state hospitals and other institutions; human nutrition; aid to families with dependent children; food stamps; long term care; child development; homelessness; adoption; and child labor.
Summary:     This series contains recordings of Committee on Aging and Human Services (1993-1996) and Select Committee on Child Abuse and Neglect (1995-1996) meetings.
