The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1980, the House Select Committee on Reapportionment (1980-1982) was established under the provisions of Ch. 69-52, Laws.  Other House committees which studied reapportionment issues include the House Select Committee on Legislative Apportionment (1970-1972), the House Select Committee on Congressional Redistricting (1970-1972), and the House Committee on Reapportionment and Elections (1970-1974).
Summary:     This series contains maps used by the Select Committee on Reapportionment to determine legislative and congressional district outlines. Most of the maps have the district numbers marked on them.

General Note: This collection is located in the 4M south well along the east wall.  There are 16 boxes placed on their sides - 4 boxes high and 4 boxes across.  The maps are rolled and placed in slots in the boxes.
