Biographical/Historical:     In 1998, the House Committee on Law Enforcement and Crime Prevention became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. The committee reviewed legislation on crime prevention, concealed weapons, firearm locking devices, enforcement of injunctions, traffic infractions, operation of law enforcement agencies, and certification of law enforcement officers.
