	Biographical/Historical:	In 1972, the House Committee on Governmental Operations became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. It reviews legislation on local and state government organization and operations. It assumed the functions of the House Committee on Governmental Organization and Efficiency.
	Summary:	This series contains the records of the House Committee on Government Operations (1973-2000, 2005-2006), the Select Committee on Agency Rules (1992-1994), the Select Committee on Streamlining Governmental Regulations (1995-1996), and the Select Committee on Collective Bargaining. The records include bill files, meeting files, and subject files. Records document legislation concerning the operations and organization of local and state government agencies, state government office buildings, and open government sunset reviews.
