The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1988, the House Committee on Environmental Regulation became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. These functions were previously handled by the Committee on Environmental Pollution Control, the Committee on Environmental Protection, and the Committee on Natural Resources. The committee reviewed legislation on environmental regulations, environmental protection, pollution control, and waste management.

Summary:     This series contains the records of the House Committee on Environmental Regulation (1989-1990, 2005-2006).  The records include bill files, meeting files, and subject files. Records document legislation on environmental protection issues; air, water, and noise pollution; sewage disposal; waste management; beach erosion; and water resources development.
