The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1978, the House Committee on Energy (1979-1982, 2007-2008) became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. The committee assumed the functions of the Select Committee on Energy (1979-1980). In 2008, the name of the committee changed to the House Energy & Utilities Policy Committee (2009-2010). The Committee reviews legislation on the conservation of energy and energy policy issues.
Summary:     The series contains the records of the House Energy & Utilities Policy Committee (2009-2010), the Committee on Energy (1979-1982, 2007-2008), the Select Committee on Energy (1979-1980), and the Joint Committee on Public Counsel Oversight (2009-2010). The records include bill files, meeting files, correspondence, and subject files. The records document legislation on public utility services of electric, gas, water companies, sewer companies, gasoline, petroleum, solar power, nuclear power, and energy efficient building codes.
