The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1973, the Senate Committee on Consumer Affairs (1973-1974) became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws.  The Committee reviewed legislation on consumer protection issues.  Consumer affairs was handled by the Senate Committee on Commerce from 1970 to 1973 and again in 1975, and by the Senate Committee on Economic, Community, and Consumer Affairs from 1976 to 1988.
Summary: This series contains audiotaped recordings of the Senate Committee on Consumer Affairs from 1973 to 1974.  The tapes document committee and subcommittee meetings and contain discussion on legislation pertaining to consumer protection issues.  The tapes are not transcribed or indexed.
