The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Environmental Land Management Study II Committee, known as ELMS II, existed from 1982 to 1984.  The ELMS I Committee was in existence in the 1970's.  The Environmental Land and Water Management Act of 1972 was created to help protect and preserve Florida's natural environment in light of explosive growth.  The ELMS II Committee's task was to review the environmental regulation policies of Chapter 380 of the Florida Statutes and make recommendations for future legislation.
Summary:     This series contains the meeting files of the Environmental Land Management Study II Committee from 1982 to 1984.  The meeting files include background materials, transcripts, agenda, staff reports, and staff summaries.  The series also contains some correspondence and miscellaneous materials.
