The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     The series contains discharge documents for patients from 1901 to 1922 at the Florida State Hospital and its predecessor, the Florida Hospital for the Insane.  Patients were discharged for various reasons, including transfer to another institution, recovery, or being sent home.  The discharges contain patient information such as name, race, county of residence, dates of hospital stay, and in some instances, the condition of the patient upon discharge.
    The series contains the discharge documents, patient lists, and some related correspondence.
