The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:
Summary:     The series contains rapid transit system records of the Division of Public Transportation Operations from 1977 to 1982 regarding the Metropolitan Dade County Transportation Improvement Program.  The records document the development and construction of the Dade County Metrorail, which opened in 1984.  Many of the materials are from the Director of Transit System Development, Office of the County Manager for Metropolitan Dade County and the Kaiser Transit Group, an engineering consulting firm.  The documents include memoranda, correspondence, studies, reports, drawings, and blueprints.
