Summary:     The series consists of dockets and registers of the State Board of Pardons from 1874 to 1917.  There are several gaps in the records.  Volumes 1 and 2 contain the dockets for 1874-1876 and 1888-1898.  The dockets list the cases scheduled to be heard before the Board.  Included are the name of the applicant, place and date of conviction, crime for which convicted, date application was filed, and results of application.  Volumes 3 and 4 contain registers for 1905 to 1917 and are indexed in the front.  The registers contain information regarding pardon applications which were filed but not necessarily scheduled for a hearing before the Board.  The registers list the applicant's name, application number, court, term of conviction, and the crime for which convicted.
