Summary:     This series contains the homestead swampland claim files of the State Land Office. It documents the settlement of swamplands claims between the State of Florida, the United States General Land Office, and homesteaders. It contains correspondence between the Commissioner of Agriculture and the Commissioner of the United States Land Office in Gainesville, and includes requests and denials of hearings, confirmations or rejections of claims, and disposition of claims regarding homestead entries and swampland selections.
