The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:
Summary:     The series contains records of the Engineering Division of the Florida State Improvement Commission, from 1948 to 1955, pertaining to the construction, maintenance, and alterations of state buildings.  The majority of the records relate to the installation of an electric distribution system in the Capitol Center.  The remainder are concerned with new state building projects and alterations to the Capitol, the Knott Building, and the Whitfield Building.  The new state buildings are listed according to project or job number, not by the name of the building.
