Summary:     This series consists of the wildlife management area records maintained by the Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission from 1947 to 1976.  The series includes the following subseries: wildlife files (1949-1972), watersheds (1952-1972), land acquisition (1949-1969), sanctuaries and preserves (1969-1972), and miscellaneous files related to wildlife management areas (1949-1976).  There is some overlap of dates and content throughout the subseries.  The records include correspondence, reports, news clippings, aerial maps and photographs.
