Biographical/Historical:     The Dept. of Game and Fish was created in 1913 (Ch. 6535, Laws) and the post of State Game and Fish Commissioner was established. The Commissioner was authorized to issue hunting and fishing licenses and to enforce the game and fish laws of Florida.  These duties were assumed by the Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission in 1935 (Ch. 17016, Laws).
Summary:     The series contains a register of hunting licenses maintained by the Dept. of Game and Fish from 1913 to 1917.  Information recorded for each license includes the date; number; type; name, race, and address of each applicant; price; judge's fee; and warden's fee.
