The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Governor's Management and Efficiency Study Commission was created by an executive order of Governor Reubin Askew in 1973. The purpose of the Commission was to have Florida's prominent business leaders study current governmental operations with an eye for making recommendations to the Governor on ways to improve the general efficiency and economy of state government.  The Commission began work in late 1973 and submitted its final recommendations to Governor Askew in July 1974.  The Commission was administered by the Dept. of Administration, Bureau of Management Improvement.
Summary:     This series contains the records of the Governor's Management and Efficiency Study Commission, 1973-1974.  Included in the records are correspondence, reports, and case studies on the various departments of state government.
