Summary:     This series contains records of the Taxation and Budget Reform Commission from April 1990 to November 1992.  The records include the minutes of committee meetings and public hearings; correspondence; committee proposals and recommendations; Commission reports; and background information.  It documents the actions taken, decisions made, and recommendations of the Commission for constitutional revisions and statutory changes related to state budgetary processes and taxation.
There are audiotapes of the committee meetings and public hearings.  There are also five video tapes:  the initial meeting (1); a commission meeting in June 1990 (3); and a public hearing in Miami in February of 1992 (1).  Because of the acoustics of the Senate chamber in the old Capitol and the use of amplification equipment it is almost impossible to understand much of what is being said during the initial meeting.
