The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Interinstitutional Committee on Finance and Accounting was created by the Board of Regents for the universities in the State University System of Florida.  It was composed of the chief financial officer at each state university and staff members of the Board of Regents.  The main objective of the committee was to create financial uniformity among the state universities.  Its task was to prepare a uniform operating manual for all university offices of finance and accounting.
Summary:     This series contains the minutes of Interinstitutional Committee on Finance and Accounting for the Board of Regents from 1966 to 1976.  The minutes document attendance, topics discussed, and actions taken at the respective meetings.  The series also includes support materials, such as correspondence and reports.  It covers the development of a uniform accounting system for the State University System of Florida.
