The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Florida Distance Learning Network was created by the Legislature in 1995 (95-403 Laws of Florida).  The network was to be a financially independent, self-supporting statewide resource for advanced telecommunications services that would enhance the health, safety, and welfare of Floridians.  The FDLN was not continued by the 1999 Legislature.
Summary:     This series documents the activities and operations of the Florida Distance Learning Network Board of Directors and staff. It contains the paper and audio recorded agenda and minutes of the Board of Directors, including the full board and committees thereof, as well as the operational records of the FDLN office and staff, i.e. correspondence, grant awarding and oversight, and some production papers for published materials.  The series is incomplete at present, as reports dealing with transponder use are outstanding until end of year.
