The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical Note:     The Florida Securities Commission was created in 1931 to implement the Uniform Sale of Securities Act (1931, Ch. 14899, Laws).  Its members were the Comptroller, Treasurer, and Attorney General.  The Commission assumed the duties of the Investment Company Board (1913, Ch. 6422, Laws).  Its duties were to regulate and supervise foreign and domestic investment companies selling stocks and securities in Florida.  In 1969, the Commission was transferred to the Department of Banking and Finance (Ch. 69-106, Laws).
