The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical Note:     The Division of Florida Land Sales and Condominiums was created in 1975 (Ch. 75-62, Laws) as part of the Department of Business Regulation to assume the duties of its predecessors, the Division of Florida Land Sales (Ch. 70-107, Laws) and the Division of Installment Land Sales (69-106, Laws).  Prior to 1969, the activities of the division were handled by the Florida Land Sales Board (Ch. 67-229, Laws) and the Florida Installment Land Sales Board (Ch. 63-129, Laws).
    The Florida Installment Land Sales Act (Ch. 63-129, Laws) authorized the creation of the board to assume some duties of the Florida Real Estate Commission (1927, Ch. 12223, Laws).  Its duties were to register installment land subdividers and salesmen; to approve promotional material; to determine full disclosure of facts and investigate land fraud; and to revoke or suspend registration of subdividers and salesmen for violation of law.
