The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical Note:     The Florida Law Revision Council was created in 1967 as the Florida Law Revision Commission (Ch. 67-472, Laws of Florida).  The Council examines common law, the constitution, and the statutes to discover defects and anachronisms; recommends reforms and changes in the law; and conducts surveys or research of Florida law as the Legislature requires.  The Florida Law Revision Commission became the Council in 1972 (Ch. 72-107, Laws) and the Florida Legislative Law Revision Council in 1977 (Ch. 77-37, Laws).  All members of the Council must demonstrate an interest in law reform and must be members of either the Florida Bar or the faculty of an accredited college of law in the state.
