The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical Note:     The Aging and Adult Services Program Office was created in 1975 (Ch. 75-48, Laws of Florida).  It administers federal funds and coordinates programs for the elderly at the state and local level.  These programs were originially administered by the Florida Commission on Aging which was established in 1963 (Ch. 63-461, Laws).  Its duties were transferred to the Bureau on Aging in the Division of Family Services of the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services in 1969 (Ch. 69-106, Laws).  The Bureau became the Division of Aging in 1973 (Ch. 73-114, Laws).  In 1975, the Division became the Aging and Adult Services Program Office.
