The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Title: Media 1979-21: Florida Folk Festival, 1958; 10:20; color; sound: Performance clips from the 1958 Florida Folk Festival. An announcer introduces a Seminole Indian family; among them is Lottie Shore. The audio level is very low in this portion making the commentary nearly inaudible. An American Indian in a headdress shakes a rattle and encourages the audience to participate as he chants. This film also features a variety of folk dances; a group of young girls blend ballet with a folk dance. There are also Asian dancers and square dancers. A Japanese girl sings a lilting ballad; later a whip cracker demonstrates tricks. Segment ends with Czech dancers performing to accordion music.
