Title: Media 1979-20 (copies A and C) : "Suwannee Center Stage" - Stephen Foster Memorial, February 12, 1976; 13:54; color; sound: This film showcases the many events held at the Stephen Foster Memorial in White Spring, Florida. There is footage of the Stephen Foster Meseum's Howard Chandler Christie paintings, Carillon Tower, and auditions for the "Jeanie With The Light Brown Hair" pageant. Scenes form the Florida Folk Festival include a whip-cracker, musicians, cloggers, folk dancers, quilters, basket weavers, and women working fabrics on a spinning wheel and loom. Film ends with shots of the Belle of the Suwannee miniature riverboat on the Suwannee River. Copy C is in better condition than Copy A. Produced by the State of Florida and the Stephen Foster Memorial Board of Trustees. Media 1979-39 is a duplicate of this film.
