Biographical/Historical:     Buddy MacKay was Florida's 14th Lieutenant Governor, serving with Governor Lawton Chiles from 1991 to 1998. Prior to his election to Lt. Governor, MacKay served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1968 to 1974. He then served in the Florida Senate from 1974 to 1980. After an unsuccessful bid to the United States Senate in 1980, he won election to the United States House of Representatives in 1982. He served as the representative of the Sixth Florida Congressional District for three consecutive terms, from 1983 to 1989.
