Biographical/Historical:     The Children of the Confederacy is the junior organization for descendants of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and Sons of Confederate Veterans members. The objects of the organization are to broaden the scope of interest of young people in historical, educational, patriotic, and memorial activities. They also serve to perpetuate in memory the patriotism of their ancestors. The Susan Bradford Eppes Chapter formed in Tallahassee, Florida, in 1928. Shortly after, it merged with the Flora Stuart Chapter, also of Tallahassee.
Summary:     This collection consists of a scrapbook from the Susan Bradford Eppes Chapter of the Children of the Confederacy. It contains information on the activities of the chapter, as well as historical materials relating to the Civil War. Included in the scrapbook are newspaper and magazine clippings, photographs, poems, publications, and a variety of similar items.
