The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This series contains copies of survey plats drawn by the Surveyor General of the United States for the Territory and State of Florida.  The survey plat copies were collated into volumes that contained the township/range listings that were the subjects of the survey.
    Some maps cover specific areas, such as land grants.  Some maps also contain a table of the area of land, meanders (bearings and distances) of natural boundaries (shorelines, etc.), information concerning when and by whom the survey was done, and sometimes notes relating to the sale and/or disposition of land within the township as well as land set aside for use by the United States War and Navy departments. One volume deals with the Florida Keys.
