Summary:     The series contains copies of orders issued by the Industrial Relations Commission and its predecessor, the Florida Industrial Commission, regarding worker's compensation cases brought before it from 1960 to 1979.  The records contain the following information:  claim number; date of accident; employee; employee's attorney's name and address; employer's name and address; insurance carrier's name and address; employer's or carrier's attorney's name and address; and text of case documents, decisions, and orders made by the Commission on the case (e.g. orders to award compensation, to dismiss claim, to extend time, etc.).
    Each order book is part of a "series" of volumes maintained by the Commission, with each "series" containing copies of all orders issued for a certain period.  This collection is complete for 1965-1979 containing the order books of the 7th Series, 1977-1979; 6th Series, 1972-1977; and 5th Series, 1965-1972.  In addition, it contains the original orders for 1979.  The records from 1960-1965 are incomplete.  The 4th Series, 1962-1965, is missing order books 1 to 72.  Only four volumes of the 3rd Series, 1960-1961, are present.
