Biographical/Historical: "Prince" Alexis Nicholaevitch  Gagarin, born on July 17, 1905, in St. Petersburg, Russia, is a self-proclaimed cousin of Czar Nicholas II. Fleeing to America during the Russian Revolution, Gagarin worked as a dancer in New York, Chicago, and Toronto before eventually moving to Tampa and becoming a businessman and a journalist. Gagarin was especially known for making and selling his own perfume. He was a business partner with Jose Luis Avellanal and the two famously attempted to prove the identity of a woman claiming to be Grand Duchess Anastasia of Russia.

Summary:     The series contains the photographic negatives of "Prince" Alexis N. Gargarin from his time in Tampa, Florida. The photos range from personal photos with friends to photos from his businesses and his time as a journalist.
