Summary:     The records in this series were generated as a result of Chapter 15054 (Laws, 1931), through which the Florida legislature created a vehicle to provide for the payment of delinquent taxes and the return of real property to the tax rolls.  Holders of bonds or other debt instruments could convert those bonds to discharge tax liens and delinquent tax certificates held upon property.  Except for municipalities, which could designate a custodian, the State Treasurer was assigned as the official custodian who would "keep and hold the bonds for the account of the parties in interest."  The register provides information on the types and amounts of bonds converted in each county.
