The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Florida Economic Summit is a joint meeting of public and private sector leaders designed to facilitate the improvement of Florida's efforts in tourism and economic development. In 1996, the Florida Legislature mandated the Governor's Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development to plan and conduct quarterly meetings of leaders in business, government and economic development to address the state's business climate, develop a common vision for its economic future, and identify efforts to fulfill that vision (Section 14.2015(2), Florida Statutes).
Summary:     This series contains the meeting materials created and maintained by the Governor's Office as organizer of the Florida Economic Summit meetings. The records include agendas, executive summaries, transcripts and audio recordings. These records document the topics discussed in the evaluation of Florida's economic development.
