The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:   The Florida Historic Capitol Museum's mission is to serve to illuminate the past, present, and future connections between the people of Florida and their political institutions through programs of civic education, historic interpretation, and preservation. The museum is under the management of the Florida Legislature.

Summary:     This series contains a digitized sound recording of Bobby Watt's "Toby's Shoeshine Stand" and "Save That Grand Old Lady." Recorded by Sweetbay Records in Tallahassee, Watt wrote and recorded the latter song for the Save the Capitol event.

Location of Originals/Duplicates: Florida Historic Capitol Museum, Legislature 400 South Monroe Street / Tallahassee, Florida 32399 USA 550-717-0288 The Historic Capitol Museum loaned the sound recording to the State Archives for digitizing. Upon completion of digitization, the Archives returned the original to the Historic Capitol Museum along with their own electronic copy. The State Archives retained an electronic copy to create this series.
