Summary:     This collection consists of 5 cubic feet of photographic material from the greater Tallahassee, Leon County and surrounding areas from the 1890s through the 1990s.  The majority of the collection is comprised of 21 binders of approximately 5,775 color slides and 937 black and white 35mm negatives from the late 1970s through the late 1990s showing various historic Tallahassee buildings, businesses and neighborhoods before, during and after historical restoration processes.  Significant locations include the Tallahassee Museum of History and Natural Science, Riley House, Old Jail, Los Robles, Grambling House, Bradley's Country Store, The Grove, and the Waterworks.  2 cubic feet of miscellaneous material includes portraits of Tallahassee people from the 1890s, cyanotypes of Tallahassee Boy Scouts in the 1900s, hunting exhibitions in Leon County from the 1920s, various stereo views, postcards, and microfilm of the Chas Bannerman Papers from the University of Florida, May 1992.  Most of the images were generated by the Tallahassee Trust to document historic restoration processes within Leon County and the surrounding areas.  Additional photos were donated to the Tallahassee Trust by generous community members and Tallahassee Trust affiliates.
