The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This collection consists of correspondence, legal records, and a United States Volunteer Service enrollment form from 1839, 1847 to 1850, 1855 to 1856, 1858, 1862 to 1863, and 1865. This is an artifical collection; the creator and provenance are unknown.

    The correspondence were mainly sent to or received from William Budd, Esquire, based in Tallahassee and Monticello, Florida. The legal records consist of state disputes; associated legal instruments, including the officially filed accounts of the estate of Richard Harrison; and a Deed of Release from the Union Bank of Florida to the County Commissioners of Leon County. There is no indication that these cases were the work product of William Budd.
