Summary:     This collection includes two letters from B. L. Rice to his mother during his service as a Confederate soldier. The first letter is addressed from Chattahoochee, Florida, on June 8, 1862. Rice discusses the river and the health of the soldiers. The second letter is addressed from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on December 14, 1862.
