Biographical/Historical:     The Palm Harbor Historical Society in Pinellas County, Florida incorporated in 1983 as the result of a grassroots citizens' movement to preserve the history of the area. The society collected papers, photographs, artifacts, and other materials documenting Palm Harbor history. In 1996, Pinellas County acquired the historic Hartley House, providing a new home for the society's collections. The society refurbished the house and reopened in 1998 as the Palm Harbor Museum.

Summary:     This collection consists of digital scans of photographs, journals, letters, newspaper articles, reminiscences, and other historical records in the collections of the Palm Harbor Museum, operated by the Palm Harbor Historical Society in Pinellas County, Florida. The collection documents local people, places, and events in Palm Harbor and surrounding communities such as the Buchanan Family; James C. (J.C.) Craver; the Nigels and Mann families; Ebie Tinny; the Hartley family; Orange Belt Railway, also called the Orange Belt Railroad; Crystal Beach; East Lake; Ozona; and Wall Springs and Wall Springs Park.
