Summary:     This collection consists of a page from the Floridian and Journal dated December 12, 1863. The page contains two proclamations by Governor Milton and two acts by the Senate. The proclamations relate to enforcement of the Impressment Act and prevention of the distilling of alcohol. The Senate acts relate to prevention of citizens farming more than their allotted land and to aiding the Confederate government in detecting fraud. The reverse side of the page contains advertisements and a list of prices for produce and army supplies. The page is discolored due to long term storage in a frame. The origins of this item are unknown.
