Summary:     This collection contains the results of a survey of recreational facilities in the state that was executed by the U.S. Work Projects Administration.  It indicates the locations and the various types of recreational facilities that were in use in the state at the time of the survey.  This is done by use of maps that are keyed to the recreational event or facility described, for example golf or film theaters and other types of pastimes or interests. Also included are charts and graphs that illustrate the amount of money spent by counties, municipalities and the United States in creating, maintaining, and operating the various facilities.  Some facilities are noted as denominational or segregated by sex or race.
