Summary:
This series consists of correspondence, memoranda, and related records concerning discovery activities relating to State of Florida vs. The American Tobacco Company, et al., Florida's landmark lawsuit against several tobacco companies relating to their advertising and sale of cigarettes in the state. The series documents issues and activities resulting from the massive public records production request of the defendant tobacco companies, in particular the freeze on public records disposition and the production and inspection of records held in storage at the State Records Center in Tallahassee and in the historical records collections of the Florida State Archives.
