Biographical/Historical:     Around 1865, Charles Richard Tydings and his wife Edith Gertrude Davis Tydings opened Tydings and Company, a drug and seed store in Ocala, Florida. During the mid-1920s, the store was in the Holder Building at 50 S.E. First Avenue in Ocala.
Summary:     This collection consists of invoices for merchandise ordered for sale by Tydings & Co., "Druggists and Seedsmen" of Ocala, Florida. The invoices document the sale of various items, from drugs, seeds, socks, and lights to cold cream, toilet paper, toothpaste, and "freckle cream."
