Biographical/Historical:     In July 1916, the Second Florida Infantry Regiment was called into federal service to participate in the Mexican Punitive Expedition activities on the U.S.- Mexican border. Most of the Regiment mustered into federal service on July 16, 1916 and then mustered out of service on March 17, 1917. Commanded by Albert H. Blanding, the Regiment supported the activities of United States regular troops by performing garrison duties along the border.
Summary:     This series contains a listing of the units, names, ranks, home stations, and dates of service of the members of the Second Florida Infantry Regiment during its service on the border with Mexico from July 1916 to March 1917.
