The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This series contains documents created by the Department of State (DOS) for the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 Presidential elections: the "Certificate of Presidential Electors"; the "Elector's Certificate of Votes Given By Them for President and Vice-President of the United States;" and the "Certificate of Ascertainment." DOS distributed these documents partly in accordance with Chapters 102 and 103 Florida Statutes, which declare that DOS provide certificates of election to the electors of the President and Vice President candidates who receive the highest number of votes.

    These various documents certify that the electors representing Florida in the Electoral College were elected by highest vote total in 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020. In addition to these original documents, the series contains copies of the executed Presidential Election Ballot. This ballot contains the printed name and signature of each Elector and the Electors vote for President and Vice-President of the United States.
