In January 1897 this chapter was named the Martha Reid Chapter No. 19 in honor of Mary Martha Reid, the matron of Florida Hospital, a Civil War hospital established in Richmond. For Florida to form a Division, the state needed three more chapters. By July 14, 1897, it had five chapters and the Florida Division U.D.C. held its First Annual Convention in Jacksonville.

Summary:     This collection consists of miscellaneous items that members of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Florida Division, donated to the organization. The items include a 1932 photograph of a Confederate Monument in Ocala; a souvenir program of the 41st Confederate Veterans Reunion held in Montgomery, Alabama in 1931; various lists of Confederate veterans including some genealogical information (wives and children); and a printing block illustration of the Florida Old Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Home (Florida Confederate Soldiers Home) in Jacksonville.
