The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary: This series contains correspondence to and from the Division of Elections Legal Section in the months preceding and immediately following the controversial election of 2000.  The correspondence concerns topics or issues such as public records requests; voter fraud; residency requirements; qualifying periods; bilingual ballots; county canvassing boards; equipment disposition; exit polling; legislative proposals; redistricting; felon list; candidate disqualification; campaign expenditures; write-in candidates; political advertising; absentee ballots; "resign-to-run" laws; surplus campaign funds; qualification papers; wrongful inclusion of name on potential ineligible felon lists; political committees; election laws; providing social security number to vote; and voter recall procedures.  The records include voter fraud letters/complaint forms sent and responses to returned complaint forms; voter fraud complaints (not reviewed); responses to voter fraud complaints; and voter fraud letter responses (pending file).
