The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 2003, the Senate Committee on Communication and Public Utilities (2003-2008) became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. In 2009, the name was changed to the Committee on Communications, Energy and Public Utilities 92009-2016).

Summary:     This series contains the recordings of the Senate Committee on Communication and Public Utilities (2003-2007) and the Senate Committee on Communications, Energy and Public Utilities (2009-2016, 2018). The recordings document committee meetings and contain discussion on  legislation on public utilities, cable TV, telecommunication systems, the "911" emergency service, renewable energy, water supplies, and high technology industries. The recordings are not transcribed or indexed.
