	Biographical/Historical:	In 2003, the committee name was changed to the Senate Committee on Comprehensive Planning. In 1998, the Senate Committee on Comprehensive Planning, Local and Military Affairs became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. From 1988 to 1998, some of the functions of this committee were carried out by the Senate Committee on Community Affairs.
	Summary:	This series contains the audiotaped recordings of the Senate Committee on Comprehensive Planning (2003- ) and the Senate Committee on Comprehensive Planning, Local and Military Affairs (1998-2002). The tapes document committee and subcommittee meetings and contain discussion on urban policy; factory-built housing safety; governmental conflict resolution; community redevelopment; military base retention; regional planning; local government enforcement boards; traffic safety; and metropolitan planning organizations. The records of the Senate Select Committee on Public Security & Crisis Management (2001-2002) are included. The tapes are not transcribed or indexed.
